Slide Gates

The main difference in these two styles is that a roll gate usually has a metal track mounted on the ground that a wheel on the gate can use as a guide while opening and closing. For the cantilever gates, these are mounted and supported entirely by rails and bars that are attached to the existing fencing and requires no wheels as the gate never touches the ground at all. In each case there is usually a need for only one operator. On some commercial installations, however, there is too great a distance to cover with one gate and therefore, two operators would be required to move both gates toward each other (closing) or away from each other (opening).
